This workshop will guide entrepreneurs through the Shared Kitchen User (SKU) licensing process and inspection expectations for the City of Chicago.   Attendees will learn how to prepare for their required licensing consultation at BACP.  Attendees will learn the Food Code Regulations and inspection requirements.

Attendees will take away information regarding:

1) process for obtaining an SKU License

2) how to access Food Code Regulations

3) what an SKU would need to know about the new regulations

4) how to comply with health inspections. 

About the Presenter:

Gerrin Butler has been the Director of Food Protection for Chicago Department of Public Health since September 2012.  She was formally employed by St. Louis County Department of Health and several other local health departments.  Gerrin is a LEHP with over 25 years of environmental health and food safety experience in Illinois and Missouri.  She received her B.S. in Environmental Health from Illinois State University and a Master of Public Administration from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
