In his counsel to public and private companies, Randy often serves as outside corporate counsel and deal steward, quarterbacking the deal process from pre-sale preparations through to closing and positioning clients for expansion, strategic partnerships and changes in ownership.  His deal experience and background includes a full range of corporate issues and strategic transactions.  


Arwen Kimmell, Director of Innovation Marketing,  JPG Resources

Arwen's areas of expertise include; innovation, brand strategy, brand equity & foundations, brand communication, facilitation, and trend tracking. She has 10 years of leading strategic insights for both large and emerging Natural & Organic brands including Kashi, Bear Naked and RXBAR. Arwen also has 3 years consulting experience with leading H&W consulting firm, The Hartman Group doing both custom and syndicated research, as well as 15+ years of experience in consumer insights.


Dennis Ryan, Executive Creative Director,            Bader Rutter 

Dennis has been making stuff up in Chicago for three decades, aside from a brief hiatus in Minneapolis where he honed his digital and social skills. From copywriter to CEO, he has dreamed up ideas and led teams on some of the world’s best-known brands including Budweiser, Gatorade, Frito Lay, Target, Kraft, Supercuts and the Cosmopolitan Hotel. His contagious enthusiasm for creative work no doubt stems from the fact that he earns a paycheck despite having graduated from Notre Dame with not one but two highly unsaleable majors in Art and English.


Katie Bleuer, Omnichannel Development Lead, Catalina Crunch

Katie is a results-oriented sales professional with years of experience in consumer products. She has an in-depth knowledge of brand building and eCommerce sales management with a proven track record of effectuating Amazon sales growth in a cross-functional role.


David Fournier, Partner, Perkins Coie

David is an intellectual property partner with 20 years of life sciences experience. Prior to becoming an attorney, Dave spent several years working in clinical research and as a patent agent with Pfizer and its legacy companies. David’s practice concentrates on pharmaceutical, biologic, medical device and consumer product patent matters, with particular emphasis on product exclusivity planning, strategic development of global patent portfolios and client counseling under the Drug Price Competition and Patent Term Restoration (Hatch-Waxman) Act, relating to pharmaceutical products, and the Public Health Service Act and the Biologics Price Competition and Innovation Act, relating to biologic therapies. In addition to his patent procurement practice, Dave has extensive experience leading IP due diligence assessments relating to venture capital and private equity financings, public offerings, asset acquisitions and royalty monetizations. Dave also conducts patent landscape analyses, renders opinions on freedom-to-operate, inventorship, validity and patentability issues, drafts and negotiates patent license agreements and mines mature patent portfolios for opportunities to maximize value.
