This INVITATION ONLY event will take place at Green Era Chicago (www.greenerachicago.org), an inspiring project taking shape in the Auburn-Gresham neighborhood and Chicago’s South Side. At the heart of the Green Era Campus is the Midwest’s first self-sustainable anaerobic digester, which will divert millions of pounds of food waste from landfills to produce clean energy and nutrient-rich compost. The result? A sustainable renewable energy source, new green jobs, expanded local food production, and community vitality in a traditionally under-invested neighborhood.
Connect with 30-40 food industry sustainability Thought Leaders like yourself for a behind-the-scenes tour of this incredible facility just before it becomes fully operational. Then, stay for lunch and a roll-up-your-sleeves facilitated working session about what the food & beverage industry in and around Chicagoland should be collaboratively addressing.
There’s so much that each company can do, but even more that we as an industry can consider together.
