Alan Reed is the Executive Director of Chicagoland Food & Beverage Network. Prior to this role, Alan was Executive Vice President, Strategy & Innovation at Dairy Management, Inc., and was responsible for creating and driving innovative strategies to grow dairy demand. Alan has a degree in Telecommunications from Indiana University and an MBA in Management & Strategy from Northwestern University.
Patrick Schaffler has been with Chicagoland Food & Beverage Network soon after its inception, initially serving as interim COO, and now primarily as a Consultant for varying financial control needs and special projects. Prior to this role, Patrick served as the Executive Director at the Northern Michigan Catholic Foundation, leading the organization through an operational stabilization. He spent much of his career in Chicago, serving as a Director in Dairy Management Inc.’s Strategy, Insights and Planning department. Patrick has a degree in Finance and Business Economics from The University of Notre Dame.
Tabetha Hawkins is the social media director at CFBN. Prior to this role, Tabetha was a promotional assistant at Clear Channel Chicago, where she helped facilitate on- and off-site marketing events. Tabetha has also worked as the social media manager for Mrs. Wig Boutique, a hair care start up business in Chicago. Tabetha received her Bachelor of Science degree in Public Relations at Illinois State University in Bloomington, IL.
Mayra Cruz is the Administrative Assistant for Chicagoland Food & Beverage Network. Mayra comes to CFBN with over 20 years of administrative experience. Prior to joining CFBN, Mayra worked as an Executive Assistant at Dairy Management, Inc. She attended Northwestern Business College in Chicago.
Andrea J. Carbine
Director of Member Services
Andrea J. Carbine is an entrepreneur, chef, and consultant working in food for over twenty years. She was recognized with two James Beard nominations, a Local Hero award, and a Women of Excellence Award for Entrepreneurship for her work in the kitchen and in her own ventures. She has launched, operated, scaled, and sold her own entrepreneurial ventures. She also led operations for the Chicago outpost of the former Pilotworks, a culinary co-working space, helping to develop tools for entrepreneurs and B2B companies to build, scale, and develop their food-focused products.
Business & Program Development
Suneet has spent the past 2.5 years executing one of the largest public/private partnerships in the history of our city using relationship building and leadership skills to bring together stakeholders representing developers, financial institutions, community development agencies, neighborhood groups, CPG’s, the City of Chicago, and more to help lead the development of a $34MM food business incubator on the City’s West Side. The challenge of taking this from a concept on paper and making it a reality was an amazing opportunity. I take great pride in what I was able to accomplish on behalf of the community and our partners. Prior to this role, I spent 5 years in brand marketing and innovation roles for 2 large food CPG companies and have also spent more than 5 years in the banking sector straddling finance and technology.
